Diagnosed with Crohn’s, an autoimmune disease as a teenager, Melissa Castner suffered from nausea, fatigue, joint pain, and intense abdominal pain. At that time, she had no option other than taking medicine which caused more nausea, fatigue, anxiety, headaches AND no relief from the pain she was already experiencing.
For me self-love feels like a big hug around me saying, “I love you just the way you are today, not who you want to be next year or in 2 months.” If you don’t work at loving yourself, you start to hate yourself. You forget that you even exist and you just don't do anything to bring yourself forward. What do you do to nurture yourself and what is getting in YOUR way?
When my twins were born, they were preemies. I did everything I knew to keep them healthy and prevent disease. Every time my precious girls got sick with a cold, flu, virus, or stomach ache I got discouraged about the effectiveness of my preventative measures and many times I turned to traditional medicine for answers.
